| FORGIVE YOUR NOSE |
|---|
|
Friends, a good sense of self always lives in forgiveness. Therefore it’s important to remember that no matter
how you look, or no matter how many times you’ve performed badly in the past, this is a new day! And if you will
let it, accepting forgiveness and learning to forgive others offers you the possibility of dealing powerfully with
anything undesirable in your past. And if applies in some strange places.
For example, you look in a mirror and you don’t like your nose. You must forgive it! It can’t help it, and there’s little you can do about it. The greatest “nose job” needed is nonsurgical. It’s forgiveness. It’s even less expensive. For instance, I’m forgiving myself for losing my hair. What else can I do? Friends, forgive yourself for being short. Forgive yourself for being tall. Forgive yourself if you’re too, uh, fat. The truth is, if you’ll forgive yourself, you even have a better chance of losing a few kilograms if you so choose. Carl Rogers said, “When we accept ourselves, then we can change.” You may have done a poor job as a parent. If so, you must realize, first of all, there are no perfect parents. Second, if you’ll forgive yourself, your chances of improving the relationship with your children will increase significantly. One thing is certain: You can’t relate to them on the basis of guilt. Forgiveness is one of the foundations that human life rests on. That’s hopeful. Would it help if you understood more about where negative emotions like fear, hostility, loneliness and guilt came from? Would it help to know what God has to do with it all? Is He friend or foe? Can these negative emotions be replaced by positive ones like good self-esteem, a sense of being forgiven and belonging, and real peace in your life? Well, because forgiveness relates to who we are and who we really want to be, I invite you to write for a FREE booklet titled “CAN I BE FORGIVEN?” To receive your copy by return mail, just write to me at;- Email me or write to me at P.O Box 1540, Albany W.A 6331.
