Membership Policy

Annual membership fees are due and payable on the 1st July each year. Those joining part way through the year only need to pay the quarterly pro-rata amount for the remainder of the years membership.

Members not renewing after three months from the due date are considered as non-financial members. After 12 months of non-payment of fees membership will lapse. Membership categories and fees are Family at $28 and Junior at $7 per annum.

Family membership entitles all those members of your immediate family to participate in all club activities. Junior membership is available to those attending year 8 school (12 year old) and up to 18 years of age. Junior members cannot vote at meetings or AGMs.

AMRA IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR JUNIOR MEMBERS OUTSIDE THE CLUBROOMS

A member considered to have provided long term direct involvement and support for the club may be awarded Honorary Life membership. No fees are payable for members under that category and they still retain full voting rights and privileges of other club members.

Family members attending primary school or younger are only permitted to participate with direct parental supervision unless prior arrangements have been made with the management committee.

Membership of AMRA offers the following advantages;

Run your locos and rolling stock on the club's layouts.

Make contact with experienced modellers who are willing to show new members the 'how to" and "hands on" information not always readily understood by reading.

Enjoy discounts on the Club's range of railway books and magazines.

Enjoy discounts on some purchases from selected hobby shops in Perth by showing your current membership card.

Please use the following membership application form to join our club.

The following notes may help you in your application;

You only need to fill in spouse and family details if you are joining as a Family member.

The privacy box if for those members who do not want their membership details published in a club directory which will include your preferred name, surname mailing address and contact phone number. A "NO" answer will mean that only your name will be listed in the directory. All other details in the form are included to determine member's interests and alternative methods of contacting you.

If you are interested in more than one scale then list your main interest or in preference order.

The gauge question is to determine if you model standard, broad, narrow or mixed gauges.

Prototype means what railway company or country's railway you follow. If you just like trains and run whatever you prefer then identify this as freelance.

For Junior membership category then age must be entered. (Between 12 and 18 years.) A parent must sight and sign the application form.

Application date refers to date on which form is completed and supplied to AMRA.

Following provision of the application form and payment of the membership fee a membership card will be issued.
