This
is a game for
two players and the rules are simple. Take it in turns to play a marble
to the board and the first player to get a line of 5 marbles of their
color, horizontally, vertically or diagonally is the winner.
But there's a twist! Each move consists of two distinct parts. Firstly
you play a marble onto a vacant cell of the board, and secondly you
twist one of the four quadrants either a quarter turn to the left, or a
quarter turn to the right. Hence the board position is always in a
state of flux and you have to be careful that your opponent doesn't
suddenly complete a line of 5 from a position that at first glance
looked impossible!
This version can either be played between two human players, or between
a human player and the computer.
